Dr Roy Rimington, PhD, MSQI, MRIMAS, MiiA – VP of the Risk and Insurance Management Association (RIMAS), and CEO of Asia Management Services. Previously, Senior Manager, Civil Service College. He has 17 years of full-time working experience in the Singapore Public Service, and is a Singapore Citizen. Held senior management positions in MNC’s such as Lucas Industries, the General Electric Company, Tatung Co (Taiwan), Siemens Telecommunications, and Oxford Cambridge International.
Dr Rimington has experience in Business Excellence, Risk Management / ERM, Business Continuity Management, Service Excellence, ISO 9001,14001, OSHAS 18001 and Six Sigma, including operations, energy management systems, projects on nuclear power stations, product liability, establishment of a joint venture in Shanghai (technology transfer), outsourcing, environment, employee assessment, organisation development & excellence.
He has been an adviser to government bodies and trade associations in China, Vietnam, Myanmar and Eastern Europe in the development of business excellence. Also a keynote speaker, lectured and presented papers, courses and workshops in companies, universities and at conferences in Europe, USA, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand and Macau.
He is an Exco Member and Public Relations Committee Chairman of the Singapore Quality Institute (SQI. Also a Work Group member of ISO 31000 Risk Management and ISO 31021 Managing Supply Chain Risk. In 2015, he was awarded the ‘partner of the year award’ by SPRING for his contribution to development of standards.
